The Windham Wolverines is a conference organization and proud to be part of the New Hampshire Youth Football and Spirit Conference (NHYFSC) and American Youth Football and Cheer (AYF/AYC).
OUR GOAL: Our organization will make every effort to ensure that every child, with the desire to participate, is allowed the opportunity to play football, perform in cheer, without regard to prior experience, athletic ability or initial capabilities. We are committed to instilling Honesty, Loyalty, Integrity, Teamwork, Discipline, Sportsmanship, Respect, Leadership, Trust, and Commitment in our young participants. We believe these values and virtues are important to a childs personal growth and essential for their development as active members of society and their community. These goals will be achieved through organizing our dedicated volunteers, caring parents and business associates who wish to partner with our youth sports program.
GET INVOLVED: The Wolverines are very fortunate to have an experienced leadership team and an enthusiastic group of volunteers who are helping to shape the program in so many ways. This group continues to expand and we welcome anyone who would like to help.
Academic Achievement Awards - Apply by 10/05
Grades 5 and over (this year) cheer and football athletes are eligible for the Academic Achievement awards from NHYFSC.
A few notes:
You do NOT need to do the grade conversions, I will do that for you.
When you have your completed forms, you can scan them and email them directly to me, or leave them in my mailbox at 8 Fletcher Rd in Windham.
These forms MUST be turned in by Oct 5. No late forms will be accepted.
The Wolverines organization has academic achievement as one of its core principles. In keeping with these principles, we'd like to acknowledge and honor those students that embody not only team spirit, but also value the importance of academics.
Every year, the NHYFSC honors these students by awarding certificates, and in some instances, scholarships. We want to ensure that your children are represented.
With that in mind, here are the qualifications for Academic Achievement:
Participants must have a 90% or higher grade average.
Participants must have entered the 5th grade or higher for the current season school year.
The grading scale on the report card must be used. If one is not listed, proof of the school's grade conversion scale must be obtained. Alternate grading systems can be used with prior approval from the NHYFSC Academic committee.
Documentation from the school or school district must accompany all academic submissions in the case where proof of grade conversion is necessary.
You must send the completed application to me BY OCTOBER 5, along with:
1) Legible copy of complete report card from previous year showing child's name, school, and school year.
2) Proof of grade conversion from school. Conversion chart must be on report card or school letterhead.
3) Addendum completed with description of Honor or Activity and contact numbers.
4) Grades converted to 2 decimal places (do not round up).
5) Scholar information and contact number.
6) Association and team name (I.e. Bedford Jaguars 13U).
7) Grade the student is in currently. Report card will be from last year.
8) Signatures of parent and scholar.
*All Forms and Copies MUST be legible and complete.
*All submissions become the property of the NHYFSC and will not be returned.
If you do not feel comfortable converting the grades, I will be happy to do so for you.
